The American Rescue Plan has $1 billion in resources for Florida that must be used or distributed. Due to rising inflation, these funds are being used to assist households in regaining financial stability.

The state is currently planning to give out two direct payments of $450 and $1,000.

The state of Florida has announced that the direct booster payment would go to almost 60,000 low-income households. Each child in a struggling household will receive a payment for $450.

The state still has $36 million left over from their portion of the surplus budget for the Pandemic Emergency Assistance Program.

First responders should have received a $1,000 payout in the spring. The Pandemic Emergency Assistance Program has funded these stimulus checks. The government's Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) program created this initiative to aid struggling families.

To avoid having to return the funds to the Treasury Department, they must be used by October 30. Residents of Florida should start receiving these checks soon.
